Hi Kerry , my brother , soon to be competing in the olympic games this summer in a sprint event regulary drinks soy milk , and ive heard this is very bad for him as it leads to high female hormone levels in male's? Is this true and what do you suggest.
Also what is the alternative as he gave up on cow's milk 2 years ago , and if soy milk is also bad , what is an alternative?
Many thanks

If he's not vegan then he could try Lactofree milk which is what I have.

kk - Sorry for the late reply, I have been on a 6 day break.
It all depends on why he gave up cows milk 2 years ago.
If he's got a lactose intolerance he just needs to take products that are lactose free or if he is a vegan, he has to stay on soya milk as it is one of the best ways to get protein and fulfil his vegan beliefs.
Yes, soya milk contains estrogens and there was some debate that claimed that giving infants soya feeds was enhancing their estrogen levels, but other debates (studies) denied this but its interesting that the only infants that get fed soya milk now are lactose intolerant.
Why dont you get him to look at our Pro Peptide, here is a write up from Phil Connolly -

Hi Kerry , sorry for my late reply too as ive had computer trouble.
Thanks for your response , he gave up on cows milk because he somehow got it into his head that it was bad for him so he went on soya milk. Hes not vegan or lactose intolerant , although ive shared a room with him on many a race weekend and i find it hard to believe haha.
So do you think soya is better than cows so to speak , or is there others out there eg - rice milk?
He also takes creatine monohydrate and take a gakic supp before race days.
thanks a bunch kerry
Liam

kk - If he changed to Pro Peptide or Pro MR but not the dosages that a bodybuilder takes he would notice a massive difference (I presume he is taking the soya milk for protein?).
