1st leg tonight at City (i am hoping for a draw, a win is a bonus) it will be interesting to see if Fergie is a hypocrite.
A does he stand by his word and play the kids all the way to the final.
B does he field his strongest side, hoping to get fans back on side? there is a feeling of unease at UTD and the Glazers will be forced to sell, i feel, don't underestimate the pressure of 75.000 fans turning on you..

If we win tonight, even if we somehow miraculously hammer you 3-0, I still wont be confident of going through, wish the first leg was at OT.

You were lucky Pagie mate, bad decision on the Pen and your keeper saved ya too many times.

I thought utd took the game to City and we were unlucky not to get a draw.
Fergie bottled it and played his strongest line up (although Anderson is a MR kipplings fancie) what happened to Fergies word, "about playing the kids" i have lost some respect for him.TBH we are a poor team at the moment and Rooney is running himself into the ground. TBH i think city will get to the final (they are hungry)
We are massively in debt and the future is bleak, we will win fxxk all this season..
Glazers out and Nani, Anderson, Carrick, Wes Brown, Gary Nevile and Berbatov, clear the decks of the dead wood and let the youngsters come through (even if it means 1-2 seasons of winning nothing)

pen was fucking ridiculous
pagie
20-01-2010, 09:46 AM
Not seen the pen but to be fair what goes around comes around, remember that pen given at Old Trafford in the FA Cup, Michael Frontzeck commited the foul. Plus I thought the pen against Richards on Saturday v Everton was harsh. Your luck evens itself out over the season. But I did think we were poor especially first half. It was pretty shit for a derby.

ironhead..i personally think man utd were fools for letting Tevez go..results arent going the way they used too at Man utd..the tide had turned...would be hilarious if Tevez stuck 3 past Man Utd,just too see Fergie choke on his gum...
Ashcrapper
21-01-2010, 12:39 PM
results not being the greatest has nothing to do with us losing the best player in the world now could it...
tevez is a good striker, nothing more. people now making out hes the next coming of jesus christ because hes on form at the moment. when normality returns he will start trapping the ball further than he can kick it again and the citeh fans will be on his case again like they were beginning of the season.

I think we did the right thing getting rid of Tevez. We would have ended up paying 30 odd million for him in total, including the loan period, and is he really worth anywhere near that? I think not. Bellamy is scoring a few goals at the moment so that must make him worth 30 million.
And neither is Berbatov but thats another story :-P

utd is in a strange place right now, a small profit based on ronaldos sale but the parent company are 600m or 700m in negative this year! i have heard rumours we may have to sell rooney this year as we are skint, cant see it happening myself, and i think sir alex has something up his sleeve, he has never let us down before.

Utd shouldnt have bothered with Owen..Ex Liverpool has been..Rooney will end up where he belongs- at Liverpool imo if he went..

Rooney is a everton fan and hates Liverpool, if we sell him, he would go to Barca OR REAL and tbh, i think its an nd of an era at utd. I would bail out if i was Fergie, cos things are going to turn NASTY with the Glazers.
When the utd fans turn on the Glazers, its not going to be pretty...(i predict a riot) i like that song:lol:

i can see rooney playing at the same club as gerard, but it wont be liverpool. torres will probably want to go after this season, he should be winning champions leagues not scrabbling for mid table, and the same goes for stevie g. neither stevie or rooney would stay in the uk though, so spain would be the way for them to go.

mate (whom is a man city fan) said there was loads of trouble in Town before the match, apparently there were some nasty scenes around the ground..
My mate said (he was shitting himself) on the bus, going from Piccadilly into Eastlands, said it was 50/50 red and blue and what started off as banter, soon became sinister. Apparently Utds firm were all out in force..

Ive heard alot of stories mate, I came out of the ground and walked past where the trouble usually happens and it was swarming with police, did see an old man on the floor with his arm in a sling looked liked hed had a dig and had paramedics around him, apparently alot of innocent people took a dig on both sides, and yesterday there was a report think it was in the guardian that said on the way in, United fans had flares, darts and knives taken off them Pretty sad really as Ive never been into that scene and dont know why they cant just arrange to go and have a big fight in a field like the poles do. City Celtic pre season and young 3-4 year old CIty fan got hit on thehead by a brick, its a joke, the worst thing is most of the followers in the firms couldnt fight there way out of a paer bag, just animals and followers, obviously there is a few hard men but most of the numbers are young kids that leg it when it gets on top !!

i heard about the darts and knifes, i dont agree with that crap myself, as i have many blue mates..Its a bit silly really, a bit of banter or the occasional fisticuffs is sort of accepted, but carrying weapons??
Join the army and go to Afghanistan i say, i bet they would soil their underpants..

the guys taking stuff to the stadiums arent in the firms i bet, just skallys wanting to be someone. i used to know a few people from the firms and they would never get involved in that petty stuff. sure they would kill someone in an organised fight, but never endanger families and kids. they had this odd sort of code about it all.

Yeah i agree mate. Alot of kids seem to be following now not just for United for City too, they are all as bad as each other. Most of the heads that used to follow City dont even go any more, although I guess they all come to play out for games like this.

Are you going Pagie? I believe citeh are taking 9000 officially, but some tickets went on open sale and police fear citeh fans have some of these.

Yeah Im there mate too right, I retired from OT after the 2-1 win and vowed Ill never go again, but this was too big a game to miss for me. Personally, I can see us getting beat 3-0 or something. But Id like us to lose 4-3 again and go thorugh on away goals !! Yeah we have sold our allocation of 9K and I know quite a few that have tickets in the United ends, bit silly that you could go online, sign up to be a member then purchase tickets really and certainly asking for trouble !! then again the Glazers just want the money at a guess at any costs.
