Hey up Kerry,

Just a quick question on the Flapjacks, as they are on offer I will be buying a box soon but I see that they contain hydrolysed collagen and sodium caseinate proteins along with micellar casein and whey.

What are these proteins and why did you add them in to Pro-Flapjacks?

Micellar casein and whey are better sources I believe.

Cheers again John.

kk - Yes, you are right, micellar casein has been extracted from milk using low temperature, not altering the ph levels and not adding acid but this is not our preier protein range, it is a flapjack and it made for a snack containing the lowest possible sugars and fats with protein and because of the consistancy of the bar, we use collagen protein which is derived from the connective tissure of bovine meat as a binder.

Ok thanks for explaining mate.

I have another question about the Pro-XS, I know they also contain collagen protein but do you get more micellar casein and whey that make up the total protein of the bar due to them being a protein bar opposed to a flapjack and the price difference of course? The Pro-XS bars contain Milk protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, micellar casein, skimmed milk powder which I believe makes them better.

I am just deciding which of the two bars to get based on quality protein make up, I know the Pro-XS bars contain more protein and less carbs than the flapjacks but I want the best protein ingredients.

Cheers John.

kk - The flapjack contains just short of 19 grams of protein but retails for approx £1. The XS Bar contains 30 grams of protein and retails for approx £2, so obviously you are going to get more protein from flapjacks per pound spent.

There is only a small amount of hydrolysed gelatine in flapjacks but more in the XS Bar so yes, you do get more collagen in the bar which is for manufacturing reasons but a much bigger percentage of the protein is whey protein (concentrate/isolate) and micellar casein.

I personally would take the flapjacks over the XS Bars.

Yeah I think I will go with the flapjacks then.

Cheers John.

kk - I started this supplement company as an athlete and with athletes interests in my mind but CNP has become a very big company, we have offices in Los Angeles who supply Asia and South America and our office in Denton (just behind Bettabodies gym) supplies 30+ countries in Europe and the Middle East. It all got a bit much for me dealing with suplliers, the government, the Vat man etc. so I brought a new management team in, they proved to me that we should do offers and it was them who implemented the flapjack offer, even though flapjacks are a great seller, we sold 1.5 million through Holland and Barratt last year, but they said it is good business sense and it keeps the customers happy and interested and boy, were they right. The response has been very positive, the flapjack/XS bar promotion finishes on 30th April 2008 and a new promotion (buy a tub of Pro Recover and get a box of Protein Slams half price) starts 1st May 2008.

kk - We do a hell of a lot of exporting, from the Denton office we export to 30+ countries, we also get our Pro Peptide, Pro Mr, Pro Peptide, Pro MS and Pro Slams manufactured in the USA (due to their high standards) and so obviously import them. We obviously have all the certifications and use respected couriers but who knows you might be able to help. Get in touch, who knows?

In relation to exports if your using couriers and sending out minimum shipments I doubt we could help but certainly on the import side of things. I actually deal with seafreigh imports myself.

Kerry, just a quick one, if I were to buy a box of Pro Bar XS from the gym, does the 45% discount still count, as I was going to pick up a box tomorrow.

Cheers

kk -The whole idea of CNP's promotion was so that the end user gets the benefit, CNP and the retailer (I hope the retailer has done this) takes a small percentage loss so the end user gets the benefit. As you train at Betta Bodies (my gym) I know that the gym will pass the discount on.

Yes this has been a very good promotion.

All the online shops I have looked at have indeed passed on the discount, so shop around and find the best deal.
