Hi Kerry

I have not been training for a while, so have not seen you in the gym to ask you, but wondered if you would cast your eye over my diet and see what you think. I am thinking of doing a show next May, this will be my first show, and I'm in it to win it! I have just started back so have got a good 6 months to prep.

I am currently 5ft 10" and 14st 10lb.

My diet is as follows:

7.30am 3 weetabix with semi-skimmed milk and pro peptide shake

10.00am one medium banana

12.30pm 125g rice with 250g chicken breast

3.00pm 125g rice with 250g chicken breast

5.00pm pro peptide shake

TRAIN

8pm pro recover

8.30pm one jacket potato (200g) with one tin (130g) tuna in spring water (drained)

11pm pro peptide then bed

I make all pro peptides with water, and I hate veg with a passion so take pro vital every day.

I also drink at least 4 litres of water every day.

I am pretty religious with the diet above, is there anything you would change, and am I getting enough of everything?

Also, with work, I tend to buy uncle bens wholegrain rice in a 250g bag (microwave job) and split this into 2 portions for my meals, is this rice ok or do I need to be cooking my own rice at home? Just for convenience this packet stuff is far easier - I can't see any nasty additives or anything on the packet but thought I'd ask you.

Thanks in advance for your time to reply.

Rich.

kk - Your diet looks reasonable, eating small and often from the moment you get up to the moment you go to bed, as you need nutrients to repair the damaged tissue from the trauma of training.

You say you hate veg with a passion and take Pro Vital, that is ok for your micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) but veg also contains fibre. Fibre is obviously very important to keep movement throughout your bowels. Maybe it would be agood idea to go to the chemist and buy some fibregel for that very reason.

Other than that your diet is good.
