Hi folks,
Rich T here,
Well we are now in November and the racing season is well behind us now, My season started so promising winning the first 2 rounds and then laeading the championship until mid season where 3 crashes resulted in no points scored then had a big off which resulted a few broken bones and season over.
Have been 100% focused on my training and nutrition (For you folks that don't know me is that i am a registered nutrionalist/dietician) so next season which starts in March i should be very fit and healthy.
I have a new steed which is a Triumph 675 Daytona 2009 which is still in the workshop being prepared for coming season, will post photo soon.
Stay Healthy

Welcome to the forum Rich what kind of training do you do to keep in shape for your motorsport ??
During the season i tend to keep to the weights Mon to Fri
Mon Chest (12 sets)
Tue Shoulders (12 sets)
Wed Triceps (9 sets)
Thurs Back & Biceps (9 sets and 6 sets)
Fri Return to Chest etc etc
I don't do leg training anymore as i find my Mountain bike riding really helps them more, which i do the weekends i don't race and try to get out some evenings.
During the off season i tend to do a bit more Cardio as well which will be treadmill or exercise bike.
I am very lucky that i have fast metabolism which keeps me lean, and i do the weights as if i was still bodybuilding, i don't tend to bulk up but i am very strong and very muscular which makes me very strong racing esp with the horsepower we have these days, i also find the longer the race the quicker i become whereas the majority of my competitors get slower.

What CNP products do you use Rich?
I use a protein supplement 3 times a day, after training i use pro-peptide and mid afternoon and before bed i use pro whey, which i also mix Pro-Creatine.
Depending on my food intake i sometimes use Pro-Fuel, i always use Pro-Fuel during race weekends and Pro-MR and Pro Flapjacks as we don't really have the facilities to cook proper meals and the food available at most circuits is of fast food nature and i do find i can keep more alert/higher concentration more awake etc if i stick to Pro-MR/Pro Fuel and when i come in after a race especially if hot i use Pro-Hydrate.
I sometimes use Pro-Napalm.
Hope this helps.

Sadly whilst training on my Enduro bike i had incident that has resulted in me tearing my quadricep muscle clean away from patella, have had operation which consisted of drilling patella and weaving bits of webbing and quadthrough the holes, many weeks on crutches and knee brace, then a long road of recoup.

Shit! Not good Rich. Hope your recouperation goes as well as it can do, any idea how long this will take you to get back to racing?
All the best man, I really mean that! Take care. John.:nonod:
