I hear you got 5th in the Classic class, what are your thoughts on your placing and as a natural, do you have any plans to compete in the BNBF or NPA in the future?
Good luck with the Hercules show :smile5:

At the moment i am currently following a variation of the Anabolic diet which seems to be working really well for me. I have been on this plan for about 8-10 weeks now and have put on about 8lbs of lean mass. Its a diet that consists mainly high fats & high protein with lots of red meat and low carbs. High carb days are loaded in twice a week for example Wed and Sun, so full glyogen levels are restored.
The supplements that i am currently using at the moment in the offseason are creatine E2, L-Glutamine, Pro-Peptide, BCAA's, Pro-vital. & Pro Lipid

8lbs of lean mass is great going!! Most pros don't even put that on in a year so you must be chuffed to bits.

Have you set yourself any goals this year?

The 8lb of muscle has been largely due to the rebound effects of a precontest diet & is probably not as wonderful as it looks, with both muscle memory & gaining back some muscle lost through dieting playing a big factor in this one. However I do believe I have maintained a lower level of bodyfat than previous offseasons periods so the diet has proved successful in that way.

I am tempted to do an early show this year but I feel this will almost certainly not give me enough growing time to see some definate improvements. I will therefore see how it goes but I will probably hold off till later in the year. I really want to do a proper weight class this year instead of classic as I feel the class is holding me back size wise, but I may need a full year to make those real improvements necessary to compete at that level.

Sean, how come as a natural, you don't compete in the bnbf or npa and choose the assisted shows, surely as a natural, this must put you in a disadvantage?

I have competed with both ANB & BNBF in the past & have won British Titles in both. However I got an opportunity to compete on the world stage with the IFBB in the classic class in 2007! I manage to come 6th in the world on my first try out! The only thing with the IFBB & UKBFF (which are of course are linked) is that you have to remain loyal to there Federation or you get suspended. That is why I no longer compete with any other Federation.

From Sean

Hi Colin

Even though I didn't place at the worlds this year I thought the photos were worth a mention prehaps on the athletes section?

I was so disappointed in not placing in this show as I thought I had been in one of the best conditions & prehaps was overlooked this time?

Just cannot explain what went wrong when I thought I was at my best condition and yet got my worest ever result?

Got the worest contest blues after that show that I have ever experienced! as well Hopefully 2010 will prove a better year for me. Sometimes the ability to bounce back is better than the ability to just keep winning!

Sean sent me some more info to put up

"I have recently been helping Dorchester Fc with there sports nutrition, diet, strength training (including muscular endurance) & a bit of sports physicology!
When I joined them they were in the relagation zone of the league & had only won one game out of 9.

The main problem seem to be that they played well in the first half & then tended to die in the second half when they would lose in the last 20 minutes!

So as well as concentrating on fitness & core strength exercises for all the players on training days, I also started to incorporate supplements on their match days! As none of the players had ever used any supplemnets before they responded extremely well indeed! I started by giving they Pro Gf before the match & at half time! They also take Pro recover at the end of the match & the results have been amazing!

Now the second half is their strong point & normally they totally dominate their opponents in the last 20 mins of a match!

They have only lost 1 out of 9 games now and are moving further up the table! CNP products are now producing the goods & the players love them!

I attach one picture of Kevin Hill the captain of Dorchester town & also the players with myself after their big win on Saturday 2-0 against Bishp's Stortford!

From - Ryan Hill - Current Dorchester Town Player

Before we met Shaun we were in the relegation zone and struggling with our overall Fitness. Physically and Mentally, we started of Training at Physiques and Shapes Gym in Dorchester owned by Shaun to improve our overall Fitness and Endurance late on in league games.

This now has had a massive impact on the squad as a whole, we are now one of the fittest sides in the league through trianing with Shaun and his work colleagues at they gym.

Shaun then introduced us to CNP products such ad PRO -RECOVER and now PRO -SOLO which i am currently taking. We take energy enahnced supplements at half time for that extra boost to keep us going strong in the later stages in games.

I have felt over the last two months that these products mixed with our new training schedule has helped us improve in great proportions. I would recommend anyone to use CNP products at any stage in there training and recommend to gain advice from Shaun Ferguson, apart from being extremely expereinced he is a great guy with the ability to help atheletes at all levels.

I know the boys appreciate all that Shaun has done for us over the last couple of months and long may it continue this season and next.

Regards

Hilly

On the 20th of March at the Expo I will be entering the International Cup in the classic class for which I qualified by winning the British Championship in 2007!

The attached picture is me at 10 weeks out, and will be sending through more progress pics shortly to show the transforamation I have produced.

Probably one of the biggest shows I have ever been envolved in & really looking forward to be part of the event!

In the pic I am 90kg at the start of my diet & have now dropped down to 81.3 kg in 7 weeks! I have to be 78kg on the day so right on track for the big day!

Hello!!

The weekend was amazing! To anyone that went will know what a great show Sean put on!

The venue was wonderful, all the people who helped run the show we're so polite and helpful and I'd say it's one to tick off the list to see (Including Lucy!!...'Hello!').

I had the honour of doing the Guest Spot and to those that saw it (Including you Sean. Gemma and your wonderful son) I hope you enjoyed it.
Stuart who did the choreography and myself really wanted to entertain and make a big impact, part of the plan was to see if Sean would have a laugh and get involved, and that he did!!!
Well done and thank you for taking part, it was a real laugh.

Also I wanted to thank you and Gemma for being so welcoming and for making it so enjoyable and stress free for Mark and I.

For those who didn't know my Fiancee Mark Cullimore competed in the under 100kg class in which he came 2nd. Mark really loved the pump up area, lighting, stage and the general set up, along with many more important factors when doing a competition.
We both learnt alot and hope that the next contest Mark does will be spot on, he's doing the under 100 kg instead of the Masters.

Bye for now and will hopefully see both very soon, I can't thank you enough.

We'd love to come down again in the near future and maybe train in your wicked gym. It was also very enjoyable learning how much you have acheived in bodybuilding....20 years of success!!! you must have seen alot of people come and go....

All my best,

Maxine
