Hello people!!

This is my first post I'm writing on the forum, and thought I'd start off by explaining a little bit about what I've been up to the past few months. Since Christmas I wanted to build up my fitness so I started running and doing weights five days a week. Its been great I feel healthy, fit and ready to take on the big ugly bags in the fight club!!
My aim is to maintain my bodyweight, as I like the way I look and feel, without doing heavy weights. I do a kickboxing class once a week either on a Wednesday or Saturday, and training in the gym with weights and cardio around the day of the class. I split up my body parts making sure I do all of them to keep everything symetrical and avoid any injuries. An example of a typical weeks training for me would be the following:

Monday- Shoulders, abbs and triceps. Half an hour cardio consisting of walking on an incline and running.
Tuesday- Hamstrings, Glutes and Calves. Half an hour cardio in the morning on the arc trainer.
Wednesday- kick boxing class.
Thursday- Back, biceps and cardio, half an hour cardio consisting of the stair master of death!!! and spinning bike.
Friday- Quads and calves.
Saturday- Chest and cardio, 30 minutes walking on an incline.
Sunday- Normally rest but sometimes my kickboxing trainer challenges me to some bag work in the fightclub.

For any information on training I'd be happy to answer any questions.

If anyone has any questions and I can help fire away and I'll reply asap!

I hope everyone is hyped up for the British Grand Prix next weekend, there sure will be alot going on and sure beats sitting at home on the sofa!!! (you know this is true!!)

Bye for now!

Hi Maxine,
Nice to have you on the board.
Looks like you have a busy life :-)
Starting to do a bit of Muay Thai soon, so i'll soon know the pains of that kind of training.

Already started speed skipping to try and get some weight off me also, its bloody hard going.

When are you next competing?

And whats your current diet like? You must be shoveling in loads of calories with all the gym sessions and cardio.

Would have been looking forward to going to the Grand Prix myself......but instead have to sort out a wedding cake..................

Take care

John.

Hi John!!!

Thank you so much for your reply!!

Shame you can't make it to the British Grand Prix!! Whats this about wedding cake?.....I think that's something you mustn't forget!!

You ask about when I'm next competing, I'm really gutted as I was invited to do the Euro Olympia figure class at the British Grand Prix, and it turns out that I'm not going to be in it. I'll be supporting the CNP Stand on the Sunday so really looking forward to meeting everyone. I hope to do the European's and the World's but I'm waiting to find out what dates they're taking place. Once I know that I can plan my year out, I'm defiantly competing again so when I know for sure I'll let you know!!

My current diet is lots and lots of healthy food, I still have a chocolate bar in the evening. Also if I'm out shopping or fancy a coffee in town I won't shy from eating a nando's or a Starbucks!!! yummy.
If you want I can post a typical day of my diet, but your right I burn a lot in the gym, training and working.

I'm skipping also, I love to do circuits and am curious to find out if you have any skipping techniques I can try?

Do you compete in anything or do you just love training? Are you hoping to do a fight?

All my best, sorry you can't make it to the Grand Prix.

Hi Maxine

Sorry to hear that your not competing :-(

Yeah if you dont mind I'd love to see what your diets like.

Skipping wise, i was just told to buy a speed rope, and just do bog standard skipping then add a little speed every few weeks. Im pretty good at it now, and its a grueling 20 minute workout. Better than on a treadmill for 45 minutes!!!

I just do weight training for the fun of it now (used to play alot of Rugby), and Boxing/Muay Thai is just for cardio work. I'm actually only looking to start doing the training next week when i've got enough courage to go and get my head kicked in by my mate :-) Only joking really looking forwards to it.

Wonder how long you have to skip to burn off a Wedding cake LOL.

Cheers
John

Hey Guys!!!

I've just uploaded some pictures from the powerlifting today (Sunday) from the BodyPower in Birmingham!!!

My financee Mark Cullimore had a go at the raw bench and the push and pull...Some of you will know he has competed since he was 13 years old, now 46 having done EVERY SINGLE WEIGHT LIFTING SPORT!!!

I'll tell you more about his fantastic past in another thread, I;m just so proud that Mark done this spare of the moment with no build up. Mark wore no more than a belt in every lift, no equipment like bench suits or deadlift suits....just brut strength old school. I hope you like the pics...I'll have video's and more pictures of Athletes who competed soon.

Please take 2 minutes to have look at these pictures, Mark competed at the Portsmouth UKBFF Bodybuilding qualifier on the 8th May...taking this all into consideration, imagine what he could do with proper build up and preporartion!!!

Well done to all the lifters, it was an absolute pleasure to watch you all lift, and I wish you all the best in future competitions.

If any of you out there know Marks past and what he has devoted his life to...you'll enjoy these pictures, and if I can video's of lifting weights like back in the day lol.......

Hi,

I must apologise for my super late reply, I'll write a list of supplements I take in preporation for competitions and normal day to day life.

Pro-Peptide
Pro-MS
Pro-BCAA'S
Pro-Vital
Pro-Omega
Pro-Fuel
Pro-Lean
Pro--Sida Corfolia
Pro-Bar XS
Energy Gels
Pro-Recover
Pro-Slam

I'm currently looking through all the other CNP Products to try something new, there is such a wide range.
One thing I will say is that the CNP supplements have so much knowledge and history behind them I think it seperates them from the rest. Look at the website and see how many sports men and women they sponsor?? I used CNP Supplements for a while now and so has my partner Mark..He swears by thr Pro-Creatine E2 and BCAA'S. the pro fuel and many other supplements they offer for the male Athlete.

If any one wants me to explain why I take the supplements I do then I'd be happy to, just ask.

What works for me may work for some of you ladies out there seeking advice as it best taking advice from someone who has 'actuallly done it'.

Bye for now and keep up the hard work everyone!!

Lots of competitons and great competetors to show you, what bodybuilding and sport is all about!!!

All my best

Maxine

Thank you for the luck!!! Hopefully my good luck continues so we'll see what happens!!!!

I've been given the honour to do a Guest Spot on August 21st, at Sean Ferguson's UKBFF South West Classic Qualifier. I've got something a fiend and I are working on, it will be something to see for sure and I'm very excited to be a part of it.

So....other than the bodyfitness part of things, I've been super busy working at The Gallery Health Club and doing some extra work!!!

Look out on ITV on a Saturday night 7.15pm for a show called 'The Odd One In'. It is a really entertaining and funny show so I had a great laugh shooting it!!
Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Peter Andrea.......(sad face).

Also I was on the Music Video for thr new Hangover 2 Film, supporting bodyfitness!!! In my 2 piece bikini and heels I wore at the last British Final. A few other little parts have come through and more will come.

So I'm keeping myself in shape all the time, looking forward to the next comp!!!!!!

Lots of Love,

Watch this space....got an 18 year old friend who's going to be awesome, he's training with Mark and I and will compete in a show when he's ready.....when he is, boy you'll hear about it!!!

Hey People!!!!

Sean Fergison put on a fantastic show this weekend just past, he gave me the exciting opportunity to Guest Pose and Mark my fiancee competed in the under 100kg class.

I wanted to really try and do something different and entertaining so my friend Stuart done my music and routine, it was really simple but had a big impact. The music was 4 different songs and the routine in total was just over 2 minutes.

If any of you mangage to see a video then prepare yourselves for a laugh, say no more!!!!

Mark came 2nd and will be competeing at another qualifier, which one Mark will do hasn't yet been decided.

All in all, I just wanted to let everyone one know what wonderful people Sean and his wife are and what a fantastic weekend Mark, I and all our friends that travelled down for.

I'm out for now, just oredered some new CNP Products that I've never used so I'll be sure to put a post in as soon as there has been enough time for them to take effect. One Supplement included is the Pro-Whey, I ordered Banana flavour and I really love it! Going to try Starwberry now, it tastes great and mixes well. Personally I find it quite light and easy to drink so any of you that have'nt tried it.....get some NOW!!!!

Lots of Love,

Maxine

I recently ordered some CNP Professional supplements that I've never included in my daily routine.
For those of you who are considering certain products from CNP, I hope that my experience and feedback make the same brilliant changes to your general health and training, as they have mine.

Ever since I introduced Pro-CLA in to my daily diet and routine I've noticed that my body fat and general look has improved so much and even better maintained!!! We sell a wide range of CNP Supplements at my Finacee's gym and within 2 days they had sold....even better after some time those members gave me very positive feedback. Now other people in the gym want it so this is a MUST!

Also a very good seller is the Pro-Lean and Pro-HMB, personally I've seen my body look better with respects to body fat, muscle definition and best of all recovery. The most amazing thing about the Pro-HMB is the massive anticatabolic effect it has which in turn has rapidly increased recovery and there for lean muscle. The Pro-HMB also has very positive effects on your cholestoral which looks after your heart amongst others.....remember we must be healthy and look after our bodies and this is a great all round supplement in my opinion.

Yesterday I put together a little stack of CNP Supplements for 2 male members who have been training hard (and I mean hard!) for some months now. I can't wait to get feedback from them and their experience's.
The little package included the 4.25kg of Pro-Whey which is my new absolute favourite Portein Powder, Pro-BCAA's, Pro-Lean and Pro-HMB.

After training they always have 2 scoops of Whey with a Carb drink blended with a banana....soon I'll introduce other CNP Supplements like Pro-Fuel and change the Protein Powder to CNP's fantastic Pro-Peptide. Their ultimate aim is to lose fat, increase muscle defintion but at the same time increase size just a liitle. So I also wrote a new diet for them incoorporating lots of clean carbs, lean Protein, fruit, veg, and different training techniques...

Lets see what happens over time, we must all remember that nobody is the same, and so can react to some supplements differently than others.

Has anyone got any views on these?

All my best,

Maxine.

Hi Maxine, i've been thinking about using HMB for a while, but never really got round to using it. Sounds good so will probably get it with my next order.
I dont really use anything protein wise other than Peptide or Recover :-)
You should give Recover a go straight after training, awesome product.

John :-)

Thank's for your reply, I love to get other people's genuine opinion and learn more...we're always learning!!

If you do decide to try it please do let me know (if you don;t mind), hopefully it will give you the same effect it had on Mark and myself.

I tend to lose muscle very easily, if I have a break from weight training I tend to go thin...If you don't mind me asking, what's your body type?

It will be interesting as the two guys I mentioned in my previous post are different, one is leaner and more muscular than the other.

Have you got any supplements or tips that might be of use for me or the guy's at the gym?

I often ask my fiancee to use and try the CNP supplements and he really does rate the HMB.

Hope to hear back from you soon,

Max

Hi Maxine.

I gain weight very easy, and I mean very easy, so have to watch what I eat! (not good after 4 days in France and then next week 7 days in Barcelona :-)) , but I can also loose weight very easy aswell, without adding too much cardio.

I personally do not touch whey protein very often, as it hasnt done much for me, the only time i have had it in the past is if i need extra protein in a meal (i.e. at a friends house and they make me a small chicken breast :-) ), i just have a shake to boost my protein intake.

I wouldnt use whey protein on its own personally, same goes for peptide as I always mix in a few dry porridge oats with my shake. You shouldnt take protein without a few carbs, as it doesnt digest correctly.

What i have started doing now though, is taking a Pro MR through the day when at work, and one before bed, which seems to work well for me. Thats the same protein as peptide but with added carbs.

Supplements i'm on at the moment are

Pro Vital for my vitamins
Pro Glutamine - helps me recover quicker
Pro Creatine E2 - awesome product, gives me alot of strength
Pro Recover - a must for me straight after training, gets protein straight into your system with the fast acting carbs
Pro MR - slow release of protein throughout the day and night
Pro Hydrate - not so much in winter but a god send in summer, as you loose alot of strength when dehydrated

Hope this is ok? :-)

John.

Thanks for your last reply, as I mentioned before its handy for me to get a guys opinion on the supplements as I do have alot of men ask me for advise.

I like to use the Whey to mix things up a little, for a while I seperated protein and carbs. A friend at the gym told me about a diet he swears by and the jist of it is to have carbs and protein on their own. To be honest it didn't do much for me personally so I have gone back to the old faithful and mixing the two together. I think the idea behind the seperation of carbs and protein was to detox your body, I included green tea and other healthy antioxidant drinks and food.
As I went back to my normal diet I kept the green tea, nuts, veg and seeds and I do feel better.

The guys that are trying the little stack I put together for, also have the Pro-MR Sachets and other protein blends, and so they mix it up throughout the day. The guys work outside building and burn alot of calories so the protein shakes mixed with porridge oats do come in really handy. (If your reading this John Jo.....ask your dad to buy a little truck instead of running up and down people's gardens with a wheelborrow!!! ha ha).

Back to the supplements, I agree with you about the Pro-Recover. I also need to keep my food intake up and the Pro-Recover is fantastic, I use it mostly after kickboxing or a heavy weights session. Every Tuesday and Thursday at the gym (The Gallery Health Club) a bunch of crazy cage fighters call 'Team Mayhem' use the SWS Fight Club. On their way out dripping with sweat and looking a little white in the face, the guys buy a shake n take Pro-Recover. Once I advised the Pro-Recover and they tried it, its now part of their routine. My point being I think its a fantastic supplement and can be used by pretty much anyone who takes part in exercise and training.

So John...what does your training consist of, with your body type and goals you wish to acvheive you must have a pretty tight schedule you stick to on a weekly basis?

All my best and thanks again for your input.

Maxine
